Believe

Shout out to the Memphis Grizzlies intro. “You need confidence to play this game. Confidence in yourself, in your teammates and those who are with you.”     Rudy Gay “I believe, I believe in tomorrow.”    OJ Mayo “Success doesn’t come by luck, it comes through work, hard work. So I’m here practicing my faith, working for what I believe is true.”     #22 “I believe corners were made to be turned. Desire trumps athleticism and overlooked, beats over-hyped.”     #32 “We believe in us, we believe…..” ___________________________________________ A recap of last nights game starts with a Brevin Knight citing as a broadcaster presently…. Miami Heat Still Favored to Win NBA Finals

Even after the slower start than most NBA fans have anticipated, according to ESPN’s Hollinger’s NBA Playoff Odds report, the Miami Heat are still the heavy favorites to walk away with the NBA championship. Despite the Miami Heat play during the first few games of the season, by the time the playoffs come around, I don’t think there will be any doubt about the skills and mesh between Wade, LeBron, Bosh and the Miami Heat team. Here’s the Top Five Ranked NBA Teams to Win the Title in 2011. Miami Heat 35.0% Boston Celtics 17.4% New Orleans Hornets 14.7% Los… CONTINUE READING

Bosh blasted by fans, media and his online followers, before the Miami Heat home game against the Phoenix Suns Wednesday. Highlighting the worst offenders in the video ‘Like A Bosh!’, where the Score personalities Skeet and Tas of ‘The Basketball Jones’ show were highly critical and creative, to say the least. Chris Bosh took the ball and ran with it against the Suns. Hitting shot after shot and carving up the Phoenix defense with jumpers. Which is a bad sight for the Sun defense as they had mobile big men in Hedo Turkoglu and Channing Frye rotating over to him… CONTINUE READING

Heat take out Bosh and the Raptors

In the first match up of one of the “stars” facing their previous squad. Chris Bosh was set to take on the only the NBA team he has ever known. As per usual the event was chronicled with numerous interviews by all television outlets. This was a big game for the Toronto Raptors and Canada. It had been the first game to appear on basic cable (TSN) throughout Canada. In an unappealing move for Canadian fans, starting Centre Joel Anthony was not started in favor of Zydrunas Ilgauskas. So you know all eyes were on Chris Bosh to start and… CONTINUE READING

The Others

With the big three taking all of the headlines, who are the other characters that are to be productive along side of MV3? Mike Miller is at the top of my list, but as he will be out until at least Christmas Day, due to injury we will look at the role players playing in the rotation currently. Starters Joel Anthony and Point-Guard Carlos Arroyo are the obvious key cogs in the wheel, but Anthony is not ideal with only being 6’9″ at the Center spot, but his hustle and defensive intensity will keep him starting. His activeness is unmatched… CONTINUE READING

Scoring the most ever points for a Utah Jazz player versus the Miami Heat surpassing ‘The Mailman’ Karl Malone with 46 points by Paul Millsap. He was unconscious against the Miami Heat defense in the fourth quarter especially and throughout the game. Nailing three consecutive three pointers and the game tying rebound-lay up to send the game into overtime. In the first half the Heat quickly took control and lead this game blowing out the Jazz. Utah in turn woke up and began to fight back as LeBron and the Heat struggled to hit any shots for a long stretch… CONTINUE READING

The Heat followed up a tough loss on the road against the Hornets with an easy win at home against the Nets. The Big 3 each scored 20+ points for the first time this season as the Heat improved to 5 – 2 overall and remained undefeated at home. Wade continues to be the team’s most effective scorer, finishing with 29 points to go with 10 boards. LeBron hit for 23 and 9 assists including a highlight filled 3rd quarter that pretty much put the game out of reach for the Nets. Bosh had his best scoring game in a… CONTINUE READING

The hype which preceded this season seems to have died down a bit now that we’ve actually had a chance to see each team play a few games. No Heat game until Friday’s trip to New Orleans and boredom is starting to set in for me. Can’t seem to find any new news other than the fact that Kevin Garnett is kind of a jerk, so let’s take a look at where the Heat stand 5 games into the season. The opening night loss to the Celtics was not encouraging at the time, but looking back it doesn’t seem so… CONTINUE READING

Timmbberr… Heat blast the Wolves!

In a return home for Michael Beasley, after being drafted by the Heat 2nd Overall previously and thus shipped to the Wolves for nothing. Seemed happy to be back and if he wasn’t I am sure that the encounter between him and Dwayne Wade could have been different than the former ‘Flash’ roughing him up in pre-game like an older brother. Beasley quickly showed off his potential with a follow-up slam that got the South Beach faithful off their seats. LeBron ‘dimed’ his way to 12 assists as he made it look too easy at times, this seems to be… CONTINUE READING

The Heat moved to 3-1 with Sunday’s 101 – 78 victory over the Nets in New Jersey. Miami’s defense looked strong holding the Nets to 35% from the field and forcing 15 turnovers. The Heat’s defense seems to be the story of their season thus far. The Nets became the fourth team in a row that the Heat has held under 90 points. Chris Bosh finally got his offense going, scoring 18 points on 8 of 10 shooting. The Heat went to Bosh early, taking advantage of Bosh’s matchup with Joe Smith. LeBron looked good in the open court, beating… CONTINUE READING
